STUDY GROUP QUESTIONS

 

1. Why is it so difficult sometimes to apologize?

 

If you think you both have faults or you did nothing wrong, you might think it’s so difficult to apologize. Some people just take it out on innocent people after they go through tough situations. Those actions can drive the relationships apart. Sometimes, we just have to say sorry even though you know you are innocent and feel unfair. Then, they might say sorry back sometimes.

 

2. Do you ever regret not apologizing to someone? Describe your experience.

 

I don’t really feel hard to apologize and am always willing to say sorry. When my younger brother and I were really young, he used to tear lots of my books and comics, which were very precious to me. I still remember I was really upset and beat my brother up. We both often cried our eyes out in our childhood. Now that I am grown-up, I think he was too young to know what he was doing and didn’t deserve to go through it so I might still feel a little bit guilty about it.

 

3. Talk about how you feel after you apologize. Why does apologizing often make us feel better?

 

Everyone would feel so much better after they apologize. We all have sympathy, so if someone important to you has been hurt by your behavior, you must feel guilty. After you apologize to them, you both will feel better even though it can be hard sometimes.
