1. What is your favorite flower? What do you like about it?

 

My favorite flower is the sunflower. I think it‘s so pretty. I like the symbolism and practical use of it too. One day, I had a personality test which is classifying each person as a flower. My result was the sunflower. I also like the floriography meaning positivity and strength to admiration and loyalty. In Chinese culture, sunflowers stand for good luck and lasting happiness which is why they are often given at graduations and at the start of a new business.

When I was a little kid, I used to be crazy for chocolate coated sunflower seeds, ‘해바라기씨’ in Korean, I really loved them.

I also love roses too, as they are the most distinguished and significantly most beloved flower in the universe.

 

2. Describe how certain flowers have different meanings depending on the local culture.

 

Flowers convey a special meaning, and especially roses could be a really thoughtful gift to someone you love for a special occasion.

In Iraq, the rose is the national flower with the divine meaning of the blood of the prophet.

The rose national flower of Iraqis is also the symbol of love, beauty, honor, the faith, the devotion, passion and sensuality.

 

3. Do you like receiving flowers as a gift? Why or why not?

Honestly no, but I would be so moved by the warm heart when it is right for the occasion. I prefer something practical and useful though, I also agree that flowers can be the best gifts.
