1. What is your favorite movie? What did you like so much about it?

 

My favorite movie is “Amelie”. I like this movie because I love the original soundtrack, Mise-en-scène and the story so much. I was deeply moved by that soundtrack’s quality when I first saw the movie. They were just brilliant. This movie is still the number one movie in my life. I also like “About time” and remember the main character had the “Amelie” movie poster on the wall of his room. I thought this was really interesting for me and a big coincidence since I love these two movies. They both don’t have big twists but are really catchy and lovely stories. I have been catching these movies hundreds of times though, I still love watching them again and again.

 

2. Can a movie adaptation be as good as the book it’s based on? Can it be even better?

 

Yes. I looked up some information about this and found some films that rated better than the original books. I picked several movies I liked from the list and they are as follows: 'The Devil Wears Prada', 'The Notebook', 'Bridget Jones's Diary' and 'Forrest Gump'.

These films have something in common. The actors in the movie are so attractive and the directing is really great when storytelling it.

 

3. Describe a book or story that you would like to see adapted into a movie.

 

I just remembered some webtoon stories since I don’t really read novels but only self-development books. But since I looked them up and found out all they already adapted into Korean TV shows, I should pick this one of my old favorite comics for it. “Neighborhood Story, known as Gokinjo Monogatari, 내 남자친구 이야기 (사랑은 정말)” is about a girl’s love story and her life. The protagonist, Kouda Mikako, is a student of "Yaza Gaku". Specialising in fashion design, Mikako dreams of becoming a fashion designer with her own brand. Living next to her is her childhood friend, Yamaguchi Tsutomu. Even though they have been close since they were young, they share a platonic friendship. However, Tsutomu has been gaining popularity, especially with the girls, because he seems to resemble a popular vocalist from a band and somehow, Mikako begins to see him in a different light. This is a story about how youths cope with dreams, love and friendship.
