STUDY GROUP QUESTIONS
1. What are some advantages of a long-distance or weekend-only relationship?
I would say everyone actually needs some of their own space and time being alone. On this side, there could be some advantages of a distanced relationship. But I wouldn’t be happy with a long distance or long time separated relationship, because out of sight could be easily out of your mind.
2. Think of some ways to remain in touch with a weekend spouse during the week.
They can keep in touch with talking on the phone or by video call. Trying to share their feelings and episodes on the day could be a good way to remain in touch.
3. Would you be willing to live apart from your spouse on weekdays? Why or why not?
No. I would follow my partner or figure out how to stay together somehow, because I am very emotional and getting a lot of support from him on that part. We don’t live forever and everything can’t be certain all the time. I prefer focusing on the present having daily happiness, rather than chasing for something in the future too hard.
