I don’t want to hear anything discouraging or hurtful, even as a joke.

What is one word you don’t want to hear, even as a joke?  

 

I don’t like hearing anything that puts me down or discourages me, even if it’s meant as a joke.

I can’t think of a specific word right now, but if something doesn’t feel funny or lighthearted, it’s not really a joke, it’s just an insult.  

 

Jokes should make people laugh and feel good, not uncomfortable or hurt.

If a word or comment feels like it’s targeting me in a negative way, I wouldn’t enjoy it, no matter the intention.

Humor is meant to bring people closer, not make them feel small.  

 

I believe it’s important to be thoughtful about what we say, even when joking.

Playful teasing is fine if it’s kind and respectful, but if it crosses the line and feels mean-spirited, it’s not okay.

Words can be powerful, so using them carefully is important to keep humor fun and inclusive.  

 

For me, anything that feels discouraging or unnecessarily negative is something I’d rather not hear, joke or not.
