1. What did your parents often say that annoyed or bothered you?

 

In my memory, I don't think my parents were nagging me that much. One thing I remember, I was a bad night owl and a sleepy head every morning so my mom was always stressed about it.

 

2. Do you have kids? If so, how does it change the way you view your parents?

 

No, I don't have kids yet. I think people understand their parents better after they have kids. They can finally understand how hard it was when their parents have been through hardship bringing up children.

 

3. Share the most useful advice you ever received from your parents.

 

Our family motto is "be honest" and If anyone lied, even a really minor thing, we had to be really severely scolded. Also in my adolescence, my father always said this, "You are the only one who can look after yourself. Each person is responsible for their own life.". I thought this was unfair for little kids at that time, but now I think this was really useful and the best advice to make me stronger and mature.
