STUDY GROUP QUESTIONS

 

1. What are some things you do to contribute to your community?

 

Christians contribute 10 percent of their income for the community church. I used to go church and contribute, but after Covid-19, I don't really do any contributions. I also had donated through 'Naver’s Good neighbors', the Korean Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) before but now I stopped all the donations since I couldn't afford it for a while. I should give it some thought about contributing to my community again.

 

2. Describe an experience you had doing volunteer work. How did it make you feel?

 

Volunteering makes you feel content with your life. I also have experienced some volunteer work, one of them was looking after kids from church as a teacher. I was happy to have the time there. Even though It’s hard work offering my helping hand, it still made me feel worthwhile to keep doing it.

 

3. What do you think is a sensible amount to donate each month? Explain your reasoning.

From the bible, at least 10 percent of your income is a sensible amount to donate. It depends on your standard of living though, I know it is not that easy. If you spend money not for religious reasons or for a specific group, but just for some good reasons like helping your close neighbors and friends, you might find this easier to fulfill. it might not exactly be a donation but still meaningful to put in action as a small step for it.
