1. What are some things you do in your daily life to maintain your health?
I try to take a vitamin C tablet, a cranberry capsule and a probiotic capsule every day. I think it helps my immune system a lot.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak, people started to follow a strict diet and work out because It is known that patients who are overweight or obese have more severe symptoms. Some people who used to drink and smoke just quit cold turkey too. We need to pay close attention to our health these days. If you don't feel really well, you need to get plenty of rest to recover quickly before it gets severe.
2. Why is it often so difficult to improve one’s lifestyle for better health?
This would be about the law of inertia. If you just keep doing what you have been doing, it is easy and comfortable, but you might feel uncomfortable or find it really hard when you try to improve and change your lifestyle and this is a natural thing. I looked up some information about inertia and found this. Some sort of disruption, shock, or “unfreezing” is necessary to change your lifestyle. Change takes place as a result of the disruption and “Refreezing” in a new and different state is needed after that.
3. How would you persuade a stubborn parent or child to live a healthier lifestyle?
It can make their attitude worse if you keep nagging or keep the conflict really bad. Sometimes we need to take a pause and give them some time to figure out what they are doing themselves.
Trying to show them how the healthier lifestyle is good for them and leading by example yourself would help this too.
