What was your first pet and what was his/her name?
첫 번째 애완동물은 무엇이고 이름은 무엇이었나요?

I’m not sure what my first pet was, but if I get one in the future, I’d like to name it Summer or Winter.

제 첫 반려동물이 무엇이었는지 확실하지 않지만, 나중에 반려동물을 키우게 된다면 이름을 썸머 또는 윈터로 짓고 싶습니다.

What was your first pet and what was his/her name?

 

I’m not completely sure which one was my first pet, but I think it was either a fish or a turtle.

Growing up, I didn’t have a pet I could connect with on a personal level, like a cat or a dog.

So, I don’t have clear memories of what their names were.

In fact, I don’t think my first pets even had names.

They were probably the kind of pets I just looked after without really forming a bond with them.

 

Fish and turtles are interesting animals in their own way, but they’re not the kind of pets that respond to names or seek human interaction.

That might explain why I didn’t feel the need to give them names.

I remember feeding them and cleaning their tanks, but beyond that, there wasn’t much connection.

They were just quiet, peaceful pets that were part of the household, more like background companions than a central part of daily life.

 

While I don’t have strong memories of naming my pets, I do remember the names of pets my family and friends had.

I’ve seen how people choose names that reflect their pet’s personality or have special meaning.

But for me, I never had a pet that felt truly “mine,” like how others experience their dogs or cats.  

That might be why I don’t have many memories of naming my pets.

 

However, I’ve thought about it, and if I were to have a pet in the future, I’d want to give it a meaningful name.

I’ve come up with two names I really like, Summer and Winter.

 

Naming a pet feels like a big part of bonding with them.

Even though I didn’t experience that with my first pets, I hope that my future pets will have names that reflect both my personality and theirs.

I imagine having a pet that feels like a true companion, someone I can call by name and who brings a special kind of joy to my life.
