Q148. How old do people think you are?

사람들은 당신이 몇 살이라고 생각하나요?

People usually guess my age correctly. Sometimes people think I'm about 25, but usually they say 22, which is correct. Occasionally people say 20, which I love to hear!

 

My answer to this question.

People tend to think I am younger than my age yet, and I am glad people think that way.

Since I was very little, people have always thought I look younger than my age, and I didn't like it back then.

I always wanted to be a grown-up sooner when I was younger.

In my early 20s, I always tried to look older and dress and put my makeup on in a more mature style since I looked like a teenager.

Now I'd love to look younger than my age.

I remember that my parents used to look a lot younger than their ages when they were in their 40s even after they had three kids.

I hopefully expect myself to look younger in my 40s as well.

Now more and more Koreans look in their 20s even though they are in their 40s.

I can't really guess other people's age either.

Now I am in my 30s and I really love to hear that when people say "Oh! You look a lot younger!".

 

Today’s gratitude diary.

I appreciate that I am having good days recently.

My mind and body are very peaceful and sound.

I love my new colleagues and they are all lovely and kind.

Isaac loved the dinner I prepared last night and we enjoyed the food so much.

사람들은 대개 내 나이를 제대로 짐작한다. 때때로 사람들은 내가 25살 정도라고 생각하면서도 보통은 22살이라고 말하지만, 사실 그것이 맞다. 가끔 사람들이 20살이라고 말해주는데, 그런 말을 들으면 기분이 좋다!

 

이 질문에 대한 나의 대답.

사람들은 내가 아직 내 나이보다 어리다고 생각하는 편인데, 나는 사람들이 그렇게 생각하는 것이 좋다.

아주 어렸을 때부터, 사람들은 항상 내가 내 나이보다 어려 보인다고 생각했고, 나는 그 당시 그게 싫었다.

나는 어렸을 때 항상 더 빨리 어른이 되고 싶었다.

20대 초반에는 10대처럼 보여서 항상 나이가 좀 더 들어보이게 하고 옷도 화장도 좀 더 성숙한 스타일로 하려고 했었다.

이제 나는 내 나이보다 젊어 보이고 싶다.

우리 부모님이 40대 때 세 아이를 낳고 나서도 나이보다 훨씬 젊어보이셨던 기억이 난다.

나 역시 40대가 되어도 더 젊어 보이길 바란다.

이제 점점 더 많은 한국인들이 40대임에도 불구하고 20대로 보인다.

나도 다른 사람들의 나이를 잘 가늠할 수가 없다.

지금 나는 30대이고 사람들이 "오! 훨씬 어려 보여요!"라고 하는 말을 듣는 것을 정말 좋아한다.

 

오늘의 감사일기.

요즘 내가 좋은 날들을 보내고 있다는 것에 감사하다.

나의 심신은 매우 평화롭고 건강하다.

나는 내 새로운 동료들이 정말 좋고 그들은 모두 사랑스럽고 친절하다.

아이작은 내가 어젯밤에 준비한 저녁을 아주 좋아했고 우리는 음식을 아주 맛있게 먹었다.
