Q144. Which do you listen to more often, foreign music or Korean music?

외국 음악과 한국 음악 중 어느 것을 더 자주 듣나요?

I listen to both equally. Every year there are certain artists that put out good music all over the world. But I'm in Korea, so that music is closer to home for me.

 

My answer to this question.

I usually listen to songs with English lyrics and try not to listen to K-pop too much, even though I used to listen quite a lot before and I still love it indeed.

So I can say I listen to foreign music more often, specifically only pop songs.

I used to listen to the Melon charted songs all the time for years and I was always very up to date on them and aware of all the released songs and albums, but I am not anymore.

Since I enjoy singing a lot and for that reason, I really really love to repeatedly listen to only one song as well.

I guess the reason for it was that I can easily memorize all the lyrics and melodies in it.

I used to be very into Korean hip-hop so I spent a lot of time listening to them.

Those times were also for practice copying the rap songs.

Since I started working in the beauty industry, I could get a chance to spend time with music a lot every single day.

I can say that part is a kind of benefit of my work and what I can really love and enjoy from my work all the time.

I am still listening to various music from the radio or the workplace's playlist every single day while not having any choice.

Of course, all I can hear from it is also only English since I am overseas but I still enjoy those songs.

I am definitely planning to resume my playlist channel on Youtube one day when I get a chance to do it and organize all my favorite songs with playlist videos again.

Recent months, actually almost for a year, I have been tied with many things and didn't really get motivated doing it much so I totally stopped doing it, but this plan is still staying as one of my life plans.

Editing videos is quite tiring but still enjoyable because the results give me a lot of accomplishment.

 

Today’s gratitude diary.

I appreciated the family gathering last night, which was for Isaac's mother's birthday dinner.

We had a really lovely time and I enjoyed all the food so much.

It was so freezing but somehow I felt warm and happy inside.

둘 다 똑같이 듣는다. 매년 세계 곳곳에서는 좋은 음악을 발표하는 음악가들이 있다. 그래도 나는 한국에 있으니 한국 음악이 나에게 더 가까이 있다.

 

이 질문에 대한 나의 대답.

예전엔 정말 많이 들었고 지금도 여전히 K-pop을 정말 좋아하지만, 주로 영어 가사가 들어간 노래를 듣고 한국 음악을 너무 많이 듣지 않으려고 한다.

그래서 나는 외국 음악을, 특히 팝송만, 더 자주 듣는 것 같다.

나는 몇 년 동안 멜론 차트에 수록된 곡들을 하루종일 듣곤 했고, 항상 최신 정보를 가지고 있었고, 발매된 모든 곡들과 앨범들을 알고 있었지만, 이제는 더이상 그렇지 않다.

나는 노래 부르는 것을 정말 좋아하기 때문에 한 곡만 반복해서 듣는 것도 정말 정말 좋아한다.

가사와 멜로디를 모두 쉽게 외울 수 있어서 그렇게 된 것 같다.

나는 한국 힙합에 푹 빠져있었기 때문에 그들의 노래를 들으며 꽤 많은 시간을 보냈다.

그 시간들은 랩을 따라하는 연습을 위한 시간이기도 했다.

미용업계에서 일하기 시작한 이후로, 나는 매일 음악과 많은 시간을 보낼 수 있는 기회를 얻을 수 있었다.

그 부분은 내가 하는 일의 일종의 혜택이고 내가 항상 내 일을 통해서 진정으로 사랑하고 즐길 수 있는 부분이라고 할 수 있을 것 같다.

나는 지금도 여전히 선택의 여지가 없이 매일 라디오나 직장의 플레이리스트에서 나오는 다양한 음악을 듣고 있다.

물론, 내가 해외에 있어서 들을 수 있는 것은 영어뿐이지만, 나는 여전히 그 노래들을 좋아한다.

언젠가 기회가 되면 유튜브에서 플레이리스트 채널을 다시 시작하고, 다시 플레이리스트 영상으로 좋아하는 모든 노래를 정리할 계획이다.

최근 몇 달 동안, 사실 거의 1년 동안, 나는 많은 일에 휩쓸려서 바쁘기도 했고 별로 의욕이 생기지 않아서 작업을 완전히 중단했지만, 이 계획은 여전히 나의 인생 계획 중 하나로 남아 있다.

영상 편집은 꽤 지치는 일이지만, 결과가 많은 성취감을 주기 때문에 여전히 즐겁게 할 수 있다.

 

오늘의 감사일기.

어젯밤 아이작 어머니 생신을 축하하기 위해 함께 가졌던 가족 모임에 감사하다.

우리는 정말 즐거운 시간을 보냈고 나는 모든 음식을 정말 맛있게 먹었다.

어제는 정말 많이 추웠지만 마음은 왠지 따뜻하고 행복했다.
