Q112. When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

어린 시절, 어른이 되면 무엇이 되고 싶었나요?

 

Sample diary entry written by the author of this book.

When I was a child, I wanted to be a pilot. I have always had an interest in airplanes. Being able to fly an airplane is still a dream of mine.

 

My answer to this question.

What I wanted to be when I was young was changed a few times.

I'd like to list several of them.

Teacher, cartoonist, web graphic designer, entrepreneur, owner of buildings, flight attendant, and musician.

Now I am a barber and pretty happy with my occupation, but I am dreaming about being a business owner and a building owner one day.

Some quotes pop up in my mind sometimes, "What you were doing in your childhood is your best hobby in life and related to the sector you are most interested in.", "One year in your childhood affects your life as much as five to ten years in your time of adulthood affect your life."

I totally agree with these quotes because what I love indeed all started in my childhood.

In my whole life, I have been quite certain and clear about what I like, love, enjoy, and would like to do.

I believe all these traits started in my childhood.

With this reason, I want my children to enjoy their life enough doing what they truly want and I will raise them grazing partially, instead of locking them in my own purpose or greed.

I loved my family reading me books a lot and still remember it, so I am surely going to do the same for my kids.

 

Today's gratitude diary.

I appreciate that I could wake up earlier this morning.

I fell asleep accidentally last night but luckily I have enough time to do the things now.

I am grateful for my job and everything I do at the moment.

어릴 때 나는 조종사가 되고 싶었다. 나는 항상 비행기에 관심이 많았다. 비행기를 조종할 수 있는 것은 여전히 나의 꿈이다.

 

이 질문에 대한 나의 대답.

내가 어렸을 때 되고 싶었던 것은 몇 번 바뀌었다.

그 중 몇 가지를 열거하고 싶다.

선생님, 만화가, 웹 디자이너, 기업가, 건물주, 승무원, 음악가.

지금 나는 바버로 일하고 있고 내 직업에 꽤 만족하고 있지만, 언젠가는 사업주와 건물주가 되는 것을 계획하고 있다.

"어린 시절 하고 있던 것들이 당신 인생 최고의 취미이고 가장 관심 있는 분야와 관련이 있다." "어린 시절 1년이 성인 시절 5~10년만큼 인생에 영향을 미친다."는 말이 가끔 떠오를 때가 있다.

나는 이 말에 전적으로 동의한다. 왜냐하면 내가 정말 좋아하는 것은 모두 어린 시절부터 시작되었기 때문이다.

평생 동안, 나는 내가 좋아하고, 사랑하고, 즐겨하고, 하고 싶은 것이 무엇인지에 대해 꽤 확실하고 명확했다.

나는 이 모든 특성이 나의 어린 시절부터 시작되었다고 생각한다.

이러한 이유로 나는 내 아이들이 그들이 진정으로 원하는 것을 충분히 하면서 자신의 삶을 즐겼으면 좋겠고 나는 아이들을 내 목적이나 욕심에 가두지 않고 부분적으로 방목하면서 키우고 싶다.

나는 가족들이 내게 책을 많이 읽어주었던 것을 정말 좋아했고 아직도 기억하고 있기 때문에, 나는 내 아이들을 위해서도 꼭 그렇게 할 것이다.

 

오늘의 감사일기.

오늘 아침 일찍 일어날 수 있었던 것에 감사하다.

나는 어젯밤에 실수로 잠이 들었지만 다행히 지금은 할 수 있는 시간이 충분하다.

나는 내 직업과 내가 지금 하는 모든 것에도 감사하다.
