If you raise a child, what kind of parent would you like to be?

 

If I were to raise a child, I’d want to be a parent who is both a friend and a guide.

I would strive to be supportive and approachable, so my child feels safe to share their thoughts and dreams with me.

I’d want them to know that they are loved for who they are, not for what they achieve.

Being a parent means respecting their choices and letting them explore their own path, even if it’s different from what I might have imagined.

 

I don’t want to be the kind of parent who pushes their child to be a trophy for their own pride.

Instead, I’d celebrate their successes and comfort them when things don’t go as planned.

I’d make sure they know it’s okay to make mistakes because that’s how they learn and grow. 

 

While I want to be close to my child, I also want them to build strong friendships of their own.

I’d encourage them to have good friends who support and inspire them.

At home, I’d create a warm environment full of laughter, shared activities, and quality time, so they always feel loved and secure.

 

Good communication would be key.

I’d always be there to listen without judgment, ready to help when needed but also giving them space to solve problems on their own.

I’d set healthy boundaries, teaching them about responsibility and kindness, so they grow up confident and caring.

 

Overall, I’d aim to be a parent who supports, guides, and loves unconditionally, helping my child become their best self and know they always have someone who believes in them.
